Funeral mass for 52-year-old Robert “Bob” Ertz of Windom, Minnesota, will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday morning, October 9, 2015, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Windom. The church is located at 532 17th Street.
Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be at the church the day of the funeral service from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by LaCanne Family Funeral Service of Windom.
Robert “Bob” Ertz passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2015, at Avera Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
He was born on November 11, 1962 in Tyler, Minnesota, the son of Clarence and Mary (North) Ertz. He was baptized at St. Genevieve Catholic Church in Lake Benton, Minnesota and later confirmed at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Windom. He received his education from Windom Area High School. Bob worked at PM Windom, Hardee’s in Pipestone, Minnesota and for a couple different casinos.
Bob enjoyed reading – especially Westerns – fishing and hunting.
Bob is survived by his four siblings, David Ertz and his wife, Karla, of Mountain Lake, Minnesota, Daniel Ertz and his wife, Theresa, of Mankato, Minnesota, Anna Heern and her husband, Ken, of Jackson, Minnesota and James Ertz of Ruthton, Minnesota and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Mary Ann Ertz and one brother, Russell Ertz.
