Funeral Mass for 95-year-old Eileen Lentsch of Glencoe, Minnesota, will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow morning (Friday, September 11, 2015), at Church of St. Pius X in Glencoe.
Visitation will be at the church the day of the funeral service from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Interment will be in St. Paul’s Catholic Church Cemetery in Comfrey, Minnesota, at 3 p.m. Friday afternoon.
Eileen Lentsch passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2015, at Glencoe Regional Health Services Long Term Care in Glencoe.

Eileen Mary Lentsch was born on January 8, 1920, in Bancroft, Iowa, the daughter of Henry and Mayme (Bollig) Lentsch. Eileen was baptized as an infant on January 30, 1920 at St. John the Baptist Church in Bancroft and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth on November 12, 1932, at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Comfrey.
She received her education in Comfrey, attending St. Paul’s Catholic Parochial School thru the 8th-grade and then graduated from Comfrey High School. Eileen made her home in Bancroft; Comfrey, Mankato, Minnesota; New Ulm, Minnesota and Glencoe.
In 2003, when she needed assistance with her daily care, she became a resident of Glencoe Regional Health Services Long-Term Care.
Eileen worked in St. James and St. Joseph Hospital in Mankato as a nursing assistant. She also worked in New Ulm as an osteopath assistant and in Comfrey as a telephone operator clerk. Eileen was a caretaker for her parents until they passed away.
She was a faithful member of Church of St. Pius X in Glencoe. Eileen was also a member of Catholic United Fund for 75 years, Red Hat Society, bell choir and St. Mary’s Auxiliary.
Eileen was devoted to mass and rosary. She enjoyed cats (most-notably Garfield), baking cookies, music, playing cards and sharing memories of her life experiences. Eileen treasured the times spent with her family and friends.
Survivors include her sisters-in-law, Lillian Lentsch of Glencoe and Vera Lentsch of St. James, Minnesota; nieces and nephews, David Lentsch, Susan Lentsch, Robert (RaNay) Lentsch, Dianne (Richard) Gebhardt, Kevin (Susan) Lentsch and Steve Lentsch; great-nieces and great-nephews and other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Henry and Mayme Lentsch; brothers, Omer Lentsch and Richard Lentsch; nephew, Michael J. Lentsch and great-nephew, Michael R. Lentsch.
