Mountain Lake man injured in early morning accident

Chadrick Peterson transported to Mayo Clinic Health Systems-Mankato

Forty-two-year-old Chadrick R. Peterson of Mountain Lake was transported by Gold Cross Ambulance to Mayo Clinic Health Systems-Mankat, with non-life-threatening injuries following a two-vehicle accident at 2:22 a.m. this morning (Wednesday, August 26) on Highway #169 at Hawley Street, near the LeHillier Quick Mart.

According to the Minnesota State Highway Patrol, Peterson was heading south on Highway #169 in a 2011 Chevrolet Malibu when it crossed through the median and clipped the front of a 2014 Freight Cascadia semi-truck with trailer traveling north, driven by Daryl L. Vogel, 45, of Nicollet. His physical condition following the accident was not documented.

No alcohol was detected in either driver.

The Malibu received moderate damage, while the semi’s damage was minor.

Also assisting on the scene was the Blue Earth County Sheriff’s Office.
