angeline stradtmanFuneral services for Angeline E. Stradtman, 84, of rural St. James, Minnesota will be at 2 p .m. Monday afternoon, August 10, 2015 at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in St. James. The church is located at 315 9th Street South.

Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in rural St. James, located south of the city along Watonwan County Road #27.

Pastor Martin Lopahs will officiate at the services.

Visitation will be from 12 noon to 2 p.m. at the church the day of the funeral service.

Angeline E. Stradtman passed away on Thursday morning, August 6, 2015 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato, Minnesota.

Angeline Elizabeth Brinkman was born on January 22, 1931, the daughter of Oscar and Emma (Walkenhorst) Brinkman on the farm in South Branch Township, Watonwan County, Minnesota. She was baptized in 1931 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in South Branch and her sponsors were Herman and Katherine Brinkman. She was confirmed in May 1944 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in South Branch. She attended St. John’s Parochial School in South Branch. Angeline then attended and later was an 1948 Graduate of Truman High School in Truman, Minnesota.

On September 25, 1949 she was united in marriage to Willard Willis Stradtman at St. John’s Lutheran Church in South Branch. After their marriage, they farmed in Rosendale Township, Watonwan County. Willard died on July 6, 2011.

Angeline was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in St. James where they served as janitors and Angeline served as secretary for the Evening Guild and belonged to the Rosendale “Happy Hour” Extension Club. Angeline enjoyed farming, going fishing, gardening, cooking, canning, watching Minnesota Vikings Football and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, son, Virgil (Mary) Stradtman of St. James, son, Conrad Stradtman of Wise River, Montana, daughter, Melanie Stradtman of Whitehall, Montana and son, Bradley (Beth) Stradtman of rural St. James; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Rosaleen Zenk of Truman; sisters-in-laws and brother-in-law, Luella Stradtman and Charles (Jean) Stradtman both of rural St. James; many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

Angeline was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Emma Brinkman; husband, Willard Stradtman; father and mother-in-law, George and Olga Stradtman; son, Mark Terry Stradtman and other relatives.
