Annual event honors the mothers, grandmothers, other special women in children’s lives

The annual “Muffins for Moms” event was held before the start of school at Mountain Lake Public Elementary School (MLES) on Friday morning, May 8. (During February, a “Donuts for Dads” salute is held on the Friday closest to Valentine’s Day.)

The breakfast celebration, held in the school’s cafeteria, honors the mothers, grandmothers and other special adult women who have a positive influence in children’s lives – especially the students in grades preschool through six of MLES.

Hosting the muffins moment were Tammy Wolle, Food Service Director for Taher, Inc., along with Amy Hartzler, school social worker.
