A private memorial service for Wayne Nesmoe, 61, of Jackson, Minnesota, was held at the Osterberg Funeral Home in Jackson, Minnesota, on Monday, March 2, 2015. Military rites were led by the Jackson American Legion and VFW Posts.
Pursuant to Wayne’s wishes, he was cremated and his ashes placed in vintage Coke bottles.
Wayne Nesmoe passed away unexpectedly at the Sanford Jackson Medical Center on Monday, February 23, 2015.
Wayne Darnell Nesmoe, was born on September 7, 1953, the son of Esther Salisbury and was later adopted by Dale O. Nesmoe in 1968. As a child, Wayne attended Jackson Public Schools, delivered the Worthington Daily Globe and was involved in the Boy Scouts, earning multiple badges.
Wayne joined the Marines in 1971 and served until 1976, when he was honorably discharged. After his time in the Marine Corps, Wayne returned to Jackson and went to work with Dale at Hallet Construction. He later worked for Darrell Fischer and at Sperry-Univac.
In 1983,Wayne started his own business, Wayne’s Lawn Care, and was married to Carol Jandera.
On September 12, 1986, Wayne was united in marriage to the love of his life, Kim Hample.
Wayne liked going to flea markets and auctions in search of the items he loved to collect – John Deere toy tractors, Coca-Cola memorabilia and Red Wing crocks. Wayne had great love for his family, friends, and Old English Sheepdogs. He gave freely of his time and himself to his family and friends, and he always tried to go above and beyond for his customers. He was a good person and mentor and will truly be missed by those that knew him.
Wayne is survived by his wife of 28 years, Kim; his son, Nehemiah of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; his parents, Dale and Esther of Jackson; his four brothers, Michael (Maridan) Nesmoe of Montgomery, Minnesota, Rick Nesmoe of Jackson, Scott (Linda) Nesmoe of Mountain Lake, Minnesota and Kim Nesmoe of Jackson. Also surviving are his many nieces and nephews.
