Sixty-eight years after the initial National FFA Week, the spirit is still strong. This year, National FFA Week will be Saturday, February 21 to Saturday, February 28.
The Mountain Lake Area FFA Chapter, under the leadership of Advisors Thomas Appel, Lindsey Brown and Stephen Funk – will be celebrating the week, and its milestone mark.
The coordinating agriculture courses taught to students – from both Mountain Lake Public High School and Mountain Lake Christian High School, include:
* Freshmen – Ag I.
* Sophomores – Ag II.
* Juniors – Selection from Ag III, Horticulture, Ag Leadership, Vet Science, World Foods, Outdoor Rec and Metal Arts.
* Seniors – Selection from Ag IV, Horticulture, Ag Leadership, Vet Science, World Foods, Outdoor Rec, Metal Arts, Food Science and Personal Finance.
This school year’s Chapter officers are:

*1st Vice-President – Caitlin Oeltjenbruns.
* 2nd Vice-President – Ryan McCue.
* 3rd Vice-President – Michaela Cate.
* Secretary – Carly Paulson.
