MLES Holiday Concert kicks off season’s performance schedule for public school
Mountain Lake Public Elementary School (MLES) held its Holiday Concert on Monday evening, December 8, in the school’s auditorium.
Each of the grade levels, along with the 5th- and 6th-grade bands will be performing throughout the evening.
The program is under the direction of Christine Johnson (grades kindergarten-through-five), Andrea Brinkman (sixth grade) and Kurt Jahnke (fifth- and sixth-grade bands).
Remaining concerts this holiday season include:
* Monday, December 15 – Junior High/Senior High Bands and Choirs, 7 p.m., school auditorium.
* Monday, December 22 – Java-N-Jazz featuring the jazz bands, show choirs, percussion ensemble, small groups and solos. New this year will be a free-will donation collected at the door, with each guest receiving a little treat. The desserts/drinks will be prepared by Amberly Hulzebos, Mountain Lake Public Elementary School second-grade teacher and owner/operator of Sweets By Am and Mountain Lake Public High School ag teacher Stephen Funk’s World Foods class, 7 p.m., in the school auditorium/gymnasium.
