Focusing the spotlight on ‘The Sacred Story’

MLC Elementary students tell the narrative through vocal, instrumental music

ml christianMountain Lake Christian (MLC) Elementary students focused the spotlight on “The Sacred Story” during their Monday night, December 1 Christmas concert. The young musicians told the narrative through vocal and instrumental music – and at times, both at the same time.

The K-12 MLC Choir and Band Director is Aaron Petersen.

This Thursday, December 4, the MLC Junior High/Senior High Bands and Choirs will present their Christmas programs – “Advent Reflections” – at 7 p.m. in the new Music Room at MLC.

THE PRE-KINDERGARTEN and Kindergarten classes present the traditional Christmas favorite, “Away In A Manger,” as sung and acted out with arm motions by Joel Saldana, pictured above. The combined classes also sang, “God’s Baby.”

OAK STUDENTS (GRADES 3 and 4) shared one of their Christmas songs, “We Three Kings,” as an instrumental number with recorders.
