None of six people involved seriously injured
A broadside-type accident occurred at 10:29 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9, at the intersection of Minnesota State Highway #60 and Cottonwood County Road #1, leaving the two vehicles involved severely-damaged, but none of the six people traveling in the cars were seriously injured.
According to the Minnesota State Highway Patrol, a 2010 Pontiac G6, southbound on County #1 failed to yield to a 2010 Mercury Grand Marquis, heading east on Highway #60, striking the Grand Marquis.
The driver of the Grand Marquis, 71-year-old William L. Ausdemore of Yankton, South Dakota, as well as the passenger, Janet M. Ausdemore, 72, also of Yankton, had no apparent injuries.
The driver of the G6 was a 16-year-old juvenile female from St. James who had a non-life-threatening injury. The three passengers included 16-year-old Chuntana A. Sayavong and 15-year-old Luke T. Rogers, both of Mountain Lake, who also had non-life-threatening injuries, as well as 16-year-old Christopher O. Boyd of Mountain Lake, who had no apparent injuries.
Assisting agencies were the Cottonwood County Sheriff’s Office and the Mountain Lake Police Department.
