MLES teacher takes ‘plunge’ for Landon

Supports five-month-old boy with stage 4 brain tumor

Teachers, I challenge you to take the Polar Plunge for Landon with me on Friday, April 11, 3:15 pm in the ML pool. I will donate $5 per person that takes the plunge. If you have not heard about baby Landon, let me give you a little info. Landon Shaw is 5 months old and has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer (brain tumor). He is from Tarkio, MO, which is about 60 miles from my hometown in SW, IA. I do not know the family, but want to help with their financial needs during this time. This challenge has gone viral. Check out his page on Facebook: Plunge for Landon (post your plunges and donations). There were about 26,000 members to this group last night. I will be videoing our plunge to add to the Facebook page. Usually more challenges are made during the video. If you would like to challenge an individual or group, let me know. You can also watch the new report from KCCI in Des Moines: http://www.kcci.com/news/challenge-asks-you-to-take-the-plunge-for-landon/25327482 I thought it would be nice if we wore our elem.
