THE MOUNTAIN LAKE (Area) Wolverine girls basketball team claimed their first win of the season in a big way – downing the St. James Saints by 35 on their home court, 60 to 25. A trio of Wolverines scored in double digits in the victory. Junior Jenneel Rodney nailed 14 points (and grabbed eight rebounds), sophomore Taylor Naas tallied 12 and junior Liana Blomgren scored 10 points. The Saints’ leading scorer was Chloe Mickelson with six. At the half, the Wolverines had pulled out to a 32-13 margin. MLA’s season record now stands at 1-2. They will tack on Adrian on the Dragons’ home court on Friday, December 9.
