Arthur “Art” Erwin Wall was born on February 28, 1924, in Mountain Lake, the son of Abram and Mary (Hiebert) Wall. He graduated from Mountain High School in 1942 and was united in marriage to Norma Ysker on April 30, 1947, in Mountain Lake.

The couple farmed southeast of Mountain Lake, and raised five children. Art enjoyed working the ground, whether it was growing crops, a vegetable garden – or flowers. Art and Norma moved to Mountain Lake in 1992 and retired from farming in 1999. Art served in the ASCS (Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service) office for over nine years, the Mountain Lake Co-Op Oil Board and the Co-Op Farm Service Board. He was a member of Community Bible Church, where he served as an usher, church secretary and treasurer, trustee, an AWANA listener and on the church council.

Art enjoyed music, collecting stamps, coins, antique clocks and kerosene lamps. He was young at heart and enjoyed teasing and having fun.

He is survived by children, Byron (Terri) Wall, Curtis (Debra) Wall and Dean (Sherry) Wall, all of Mountain Lake; daughter-in-law, Rosy Wall of Woodbury, Minnesota; son-in-law, Steven (Carrie) Earll of Colorado Springs, Colorado; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and brother Elmer (Winifred) Wall of Goshen, Indiana.

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Norma in 2016; son, Charles; daughter, Rachel Earll and twin sisters in infancy, Margaret and Marjorie.
