Orlando Eldon Klassen, 88, died on Thursday, December 24, 2015, in Jackson, Minnesota.
He lived in Mountain Lake, Minnesota for most of his life. He was born on February 16, 1927, to Jacob and Elizabeth Klassen in Mountain Lake.
He married Joanne Unruh on June 17, 1949, in Newton, Kansas. They farmed together near Mountain Lake and raised four children.
Orlando was a member of the Cornerstone Bible Church in Mountain Lake.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Joanne; his parents; his sister and brother-in-law, Larry and Alvera Rempel and another brother-in-law, Peter Buller.
Orlando is survived by a sister, Gladys; son, Stephen (Nancy) Klassen; daughters, Kathy (Mark) Iblings, Beth (Bill) Beard and Amy (Vron) Jones; 11 grandchildren, Melissa (Dave) Dalley, Jessica (John) Marston, Lindsey (Eric) Reddemann, Rachel (Seth) Dombach, Joelle (Steven) Shetterly, Bethany Iblings, Will (Hannah) Iblings, Daniel Beard, Joe (Abby) Beard, Vince Jones and Abbey Jones and 16 great-grandchildren.
The family will observe a private memorial service in the spring.
