Four Wolverines named to squad; three earn Honorable Mention
The names of the football players on the All-District football squad for the 9-South District West were recently released. Four Mountain Lake Area (MLA) Wolverines were named All-District, with another trio given Honorable Mention. Named All-District were seniors Chris Boyd and Ian Glassic, along with juniors Levi Stoesz and Jacob Suess. Earning Honorable Mention recognition were senior Jose Sanchez and junior Sam Grev.
Edgerton/Ellsworth football player Blake Van Dyke was named Defensive Player of the Year, while his teammate, Jake Huisken, shared Lineman of the Year honors with Madelia’s Austin Denn. Madelia’s Kyle Schultz was recognized as 2015 Offensive Back of the Year.
Hills-Beaver Creek head coach Rex Metzger is the 2015 Coach of the Year, an honor he shares with Kyle Atherton and Erik Hermanson of Cleveland.
