Honored with a snowflake

Area added to Mountain Lake Christmas in the Park

Just as every snowflake is not exactly alike, the same can be said about people. It is that individuality that leaves a special – often memorable – imprint on the lives of others. And so often, the beneficiaries of that imprint want – to in some way – note, acknowledge or honor that influence. This is especially true during holiday seasons, when the meaning of that imprint is felt even more intensely.

The Mountain Lake Christmas in the Park Committee has established a very visual way for people to honor those who mean – or have meant- so much to them.

This year, an additional area will be added to the Christmas in the Park presentation – a “Snowflake Honor Garden.” According to the committee, a “generous soul” has brought the snowflakes that once decorated the park display “back to life.” All is needed on each is the addition of lights.

These snowflakes may be reserved by individuals to honor a loved one, a community member or anyone of choice through a personalized sign hung on each snowflake. The cost is $20 to make that reservation.

This is one way to spread the Christmas spirit, remember a loved one, bring cheer to a deserving individual, or even honor a lost pet.

To reserve a snowflake, contact any member of the committee via the group’s Mountain Lake Christmas in the Park Facebook page, so that the details can be completed.

All proceeds will to towards the Christmas in the Park fund.
