2015 Community Appreciation Day salutes the area’s current, retired educators
A free family picnic barbecue kicks off at 4 p.m. The menu will include hot dogs, beans, chips, cold drink and ice cream.
The 2015 Community Appreciation Day, hosted by the Community Bible Church of Mountain Lake, featured a salute to area former and current educators.
Special activities included an inflatable jumping castle, tractor and trailer hay rides, bean bag play, volleyball and croquet, local musical talent, a special Spelling Bee – and the opportunity to personally say “Hello” and “Thank you” to teachers and former teachers.
A free family picnic meal of hot dogs, beans, chips, cold drink and ice cream was also a part of the event.
Following is a photo gallery from the event:

APPROPRIATELY, BLANK chalkboards were displayed on which those attending could jot down – with colored chalk – their thanks to their teachers. In the three photos below are several of those thoughts of thanks.
