AFSCME, LELS members, business agents in attendance
The Mountain Lake City Council held a meeting Wednesday afternoon, March 4, that focused on employee salary adjustments.
In attendance were American Federation of State, County and Municipal (AFSCME) members Kevin Krahn, Pat Oja, Ron Melson, Rick Oeltjenbruns, Daron Friesen and Steve Peters, as well as Business Agent Keith Ferrington, along with Law Enforcement Labor Services (LELS) member Emily Mathiowetz and Len McFarland, Business Agent. Also attending was Greg Mangold of Fox, Lawson and Associates.
The Classification and Compensation Study was reviewed and explained by Mangold. Questions were asked and answered, followed by discussion.
The salary schedule used to make 2015 pay adjustments, where necessary for some employees, was also reviewed the explained. Questions on the salary schedule were asked and answered.
The schedule was not adopted by the council, but used to determine the allocation of $15,000 authorized by council members to be used to make 2015 pay adjustments.
