Wolverine boys basketball moves to 4-1

THE MOUNTAIN LAKE Area (MLA) Wolverine boys basketball squad moved to 4-1 on the early season, downing Red Rock Central (RRC) by 16, 71 to 55, in a Friday, December 16 game in the Mountain Lake Public School Auditorium. With the win over the Falcons, the Wolverines stand 3-0 in the Red Rock Conference. Sophomores led MLA in scoring, Abraham Stoesz with 15 and Sam Paulson, 14. Junior Regan Syverson tallied 12 points. Another junior, Drake Harder, tossed in nine points, with 10 boards. For visiting RRC, Noah Stavnes had 16 points, and Spencer Halland had 12. Tuesday, December 19, the boys host Madelia and head to Slayton on Thursday, December 21 to face Murray County Central (MCC).
