Norma Richardson

Visitation for 92-year-old Norma Richardson of Mountain Lake, Minnesota, will be at the Good Samaritan Society of Mountain Lake Chapel from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 1, 2017.

A private family service will follow.

Interment will be at the Mountain Lake City Cemetery, located on 10th Street North at Midway Road.

Norma Richardson passed away on Friday, October 27, 2017, at the Good Samaritan Society of Mountain Lake-The Village.

Norma was born on March 2, 1925, the daughter of Henry and Margaret (Eitzen) Esau. She attended and graduated from Mountain Lake Public High School.

On March 25, 1948 she married Eugene Richardson and together they lived in St. James, Minnesota. She was a housewife and worked at Epp’s Department Store in Mountain Lake until her retirement.

After Eugene’s death in 1973, she moved to Mountain Lake. She enjoyed playing card games and Scrabble as well as volunteering at Care & Share/10,000 Villages and serving coffee at the nursing home. Norma had one of the best green thumbs when it came to flowers. She was a member of Bethel Mennonite Church in Mountain Lake.

Norma is survived by her son, Mark (Mary) of Richardson; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene, daughter; Kathleen (Richardson) Brown and brother, Arlowe Esau.
