City of Mountain Lake’s new substation begins to take shape

The major pieces of the City of the project include its main component – the 45-ton 10/14 MVA transformer built by OTC Services at a cost of $439,088.46 – the 69KV circuit switcher and air-break switch and 5KV indoor switchgear.

The new substation is located northeast of the Cottonwood County Road #1 and 1st Avenue North intersection.

Completion of the new electrical substation was awarded to Conductor Power with a bid of $1,202,020. Conductor Power is furnishing equipment, materials and labor to provide a tie-line feed, substation commissioning, structure erecting, substation power and control electrical wiring and 69KV line for the substation.
