A Celebration of Life service for 87-year-old Ronald “Ron” Duane Fast of Mountain Lake, Minnesota, will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon, September 5, 2017, at Bethel Mennonite Church in Mountain Lake, with Good Samaritan of Mountain Lake Chaplain Merwin Dick officiating. The church is located at 301 9th Street North.
Interment will be in Mountain Lake City Cemetery, located on 10th Street North at Midway Road.
Visitation will be at the church the day of the funeral service from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Ron passed away on Friday, September 1, at the Good Samaritan Society of Mountain Lake-The Village.
Ron and his twin brother, Don, were born to Martin and Helen (Unruh) Fast in Wing, North Dakota on June 7, 1930. He was baptized on May 15, 1949 when he joined Bethel Mennonite Church in Mountain Lake.
Ron married Carol Janzen on July 9, 1954. Together they celebrated 63 years of marriage.
During his working years, Ron held many positions. He is most remembered for his years of service as a school bus driver, Bethel Mennonite Church custodian, working for the City of Mountain Lake and fulfilling his dream of owning his own business – Ron’s City Dray.
He was a hard worker and provided well for his family. Ron enjoyed a Saturday evening at the Jackson races with the kids, raising pigeons and washing and shining his cars. In his later years, he treasured visits from his family, grandchildren and friends.
Ron is survived by his wife, Carol of Mountain Lake; children, Terri (Barnie) Wall of Mountain Lake, Marcia (Ken) Bauer of Brownton, Minnesota, Wendy (Whity) Becker and Curtis (Kathy) Fast, all of Mountain Lake; 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; many family and friends and special friend and neighbor at the Good Sam, Mae Ysker.
He was preceded in death by his parents; twin brother, Don and other family members.
