Structure that was part of Mountain Lake business history demolished

THIS RESIDENCE IN the 800 block of 10th Street in Mountain Lake, above, had fallen into decay over the years, and was demolished on Wednesday, August 30, as seen in below photo taken by Russ Karschnik. What had been a family home for decades hid the building’s early history. Back in 1910-1915, when this location was on the far north side of Mountain Lake, a D. D. Enns ran a gasoline-powered sawmill in the structure. In addition, Enns also tanned hides and raised foxes. Farewell to a long-served story.
