MLPD to hold event this Saturday, June 10
The Mountain Lake Police Department (MLPD) will hold a Bike Rodeo for grade-school bicyclists today this Saturday, June 10, in the parking lot of the Cornerstone Bible Church. The church is located at the corner of Prince Street and 11th Street North
Mechanically-inclined community volunteers will be available to complete safety inspections and make minor adjustments to bikes (inflating tires and checking and correcting brakes, pedals, bike chains, handlebars and reflectors), as well as fit rodeo participants with free bike helmets, beginning at 9 a.m.
At 10 a.m., the rodeo will begin, with the young riders taking their skills to a variety of bike courses.
A drawing for prizes will also be included.
Events are open to children through sixth grade.
