Two-vehicle accident north of Brewster on Highway 60 Tuesday afternoon

Windom, Brewster win transferred to Sanford-Worthington

 

 

The drivers of two vehicles involved in an accident on Minnesota State Highway 60 at its intersection with 860th Street in Alba Township, Jackson County, north of Brewster were transferred to Sanford-Worthington following the 5:17 p.m., Tuesday, April 25 collision. A 10-year-old juvenile female in one of the vehicles sustained no injuries.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2007 Ford Fusion was southbound on Highway 60 when a 2015 Chevrolet Malibu, westbound on 860th Street, crossed the northbound lanes of Highway 60, yielded then proceeded to cross the southbound lanes. The driver did not see the Ford and was struck in the southbound lane.

Taken to Sanford-Worthington with non-life-threatening injuries were 40-year-old Renee Green of Windom, the driver of the Fusion, and Samantha Obermoller, 18, of Brewster, the driver of the Malibu. The uninjured juvenile female was a passenger in the Fusion. All three were wearing seatbelts.
