Wolverine boys explode from one-point lead at half to down H/BC

Win road game over Patriots, 78 to 55

 

THE MOUNTAIN LAKE Area (MLA) Wolverine boys basketball squad took a one-point lead at halftime (39 to 38) and exploded in the second half to nail down a 23-point win on the road over Hills/Beaver Creek (H/BC) at Hills. In that secondstanza, the Wolverines outscored their hosts 39 to 17. Levi Stoesz tallied 27 points to lead the way for MLA. Three more scored in double digits as well, Marcus Boyd with 12, Weston Osland scoring 11 and Aaron Fast netting 10. Kris Menken had eight points, along with nine boards. The Patriots were led by Jax Wyson’s 14 points. Trenton bass added 13 points and Zach Scholten had eight rebounds. The Wolverines – now 12-5 overall, 7-3 in the Red Rock – will how host Lake Crystal/Wellcome Memorial in a weather-postpone game on Monday, February 6, and will follow that up with a reprise against the Red Rock Falcons at home on Tuesday, February 7.
