MLOOSC’s 2017 Ice Fishing Contest dropped a line today

 

 

The annual Mountain Lake/Odin/Ormsby Area Sportsman Club’s (MLOOSC) Ice Fishing Contest on Mountain Lake dropped a line today (Saturday, January 28). A total 116 adults took to the iced-over lake to try their luck, and 22 kids participated in their own contest.

Fishing awards (first, second and third) were presented in four categories:

+ Northern Pike –

  • First: Tara Kleven, 8.81#.
  • Second: Wyatt Tordesen, 8.66#.
  • Third: Deb Dorschner.

+ Walleye –

  • First: Jessie Kolander, .61#.
  • Second: Mason Neitzel, Draw.
  • Third: Dominick Smith, Draw.

+ Bass –

  • First: Don Dunker, 1.89#.
  • Second: Trevor Reese: 1.74#.
  • Third: Dallas Rogers, 1.69#.

+ Pan Fish – 

  • First: Levi Feltman, .77# crappie.
  • Second: Phil Stahl, .45# bluegill.
  • Third: Paul Bakalyar, .44# bluegill.

+ Kids (12 and Under) –

  • First: Toby Osland, 10.94# northern.
  • Second: Cole Kleven, 3.92# northern
  • Third: Trayton Neitzel, .44# bluegill.

 

A chili feed and MLOOSC annual meeting followed the ice fishing contest and award presentation. In addition, door prizes were raffled.
