THE MOUNTAIN LAKE Area (MLA) Wolverine girls basketball squad fell to host – and conference competitor – Adrian on Friday night, December 9 by 12 points in a low-scoring contest, 38 to 26. At the half, the Dragons were up 20-10 and the Wolverines were never able to cut into the margin. Freshman Margo Stoesz led MLA scorers with 16 points, adding four boards and a pair of steals. Her senior teammate, Liana Blomgren, chipped in seven points and grabbed 10 rebounds. The team is now 1-3 on the season, and will play at Fulda on Thursday, December 15. Adrian stands at 3-1 on he season.
