IT WAS A comeback win for Mountain Lake Area (MLA) Wolverine boys basketball, in the squad’s season opener at Springfield on Friday, December 2. The Wolverines were down by 11 at the half, but kept chipping away at the Tigers’ lead to tally up a victoroy, 65-62. Weston Osland scored 21 points for the Wolverines, while Levi Stoesz had 17 points, seven rebounds and four assists and Aaron Fast scored 12. Isaac Fink scored 20 for the Tigers, and Tanner Vogel scored 19. MLA will paly the team’s season opener tonight (December 3), when they host Mankato Loyola.
