Joan Helen (Lade) Mohlenbrock-Hanson died on Tuesday, August 2, 2016, at the Laurels Peak Rehabilitation Center in Mankato, Minnesota.
Joan Helen (Lade) Mohlenbrock-Hanson was born on April 16, 1937 in Trimont, Minnesota, the daughter of Clarence and Helen Lade.
She married Henry Mohlenbrock on October 15, 1954 and the couple was blessed with five children, Deb, Daryl, Gail, Corinne and Darwin. Joan and Henry were married for 28 years before Henry’s passing in 1982.
Joan raised her children on the family farm. She worked hard, spent many hours outside tending to their home and always had a meal on the table for her family. She was a caring mother with plenty of love to give, taking in a special friend of the family and seeing him graduate from high school. Joan loved taking vacations to 10 Mile Lake to go fishing – a hobby she enjoyed and spoke of her entire life!
Survivors include her children, Deb (Darrell) Miller, Gail (Claude) Rasche, Corinne (Rick) Firme and Darwin (Kendra) Mohlenbrock; daughter-in-law, Michele Mohlenbrock; grandchildren, Jesse (Angel) Bettin, Jessica Shupe, Matt (Kim) Gaalswyk, Holly Rasche, Adam Rasche, Tyler Firme, Cassi Mohlenbrock and Chris Mohlenbrock; five great-grandchildren and special family friend, Randy Baldwin.
Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Mohlenbrock; son, Daryl Mohlenbrock and her parents, Clarence and Helen Lade.
