Timothy ‘Tim’ Dunkelberger

tim dunkelbergerFuneral services for 53-year-old Timothy “Tim” Dunkelberger will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday afternoon, May 26, 2016, at the Alliance Missionary Church in Mountain Lake, Minnesota. The church is located at 809 5th Avenue.

Visitation will be at LaCanne Family Funeral home in Windom, Minnesota, on Wednesday, May 25, 2016, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The funeral home is located at 2280 6th Avenue. A second visitation will be held at the church from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. the day of the funeral service.

LaCanne Family Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Tim passed away unexpectedly on Friday morning, May 20, 2016 at the Mercy Medical Center in Mason City, Iowa.

Timothy “Tim” Jay Dunkelberger was born on January 17, 1963 to Leonard and Marilyn (Peters) Dunkelberger in Mountain Lake. He received his education from Mountain Lake Public Schools, where he graduated with the Class of 1982.

On February 18, 1984, Tim was united in marriage to Lisa Osland at the American Lutheran Church in Windom. This marriage was blessed with two children, Brandon and Ashley. Tim and Lisa raised their family in the Windom and Mountain Lake areas before moving to Rochester, Minnesota in 2005. In 2011, they moved to Mason City, Iowa where they resided until moving to Austin, Minnesota just two months ago.

Tim will be remembered for his big laugh, perseverance, unconditional love and serving others. He enjoyed every minute possible with family, helping with projects and playing with his grand boys.

Tim lived out his faith. Over the years, he was involved with many church ministries, Mountain Lake Christian School and had a big heart for missions.

Tim was skilled in many areas and was always willing to take on a challenge. For many years he owned and operated a variety of businesses in which his family played a role. Since 2011, Tim had worked for Canadian Pacific Railway, obtaining his locomotive engineer license. He put 100% into everything he did.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa Dunkelberger of Austin; two children, Brandon Dunkelberger and his wife, Gabriel, of Austin and Ashley Moore and her husband, Kyle, of Rochester; two grandchildren, Chapman Dunkelberger and Blake Moore; mother, Marilyn Cassens of Chaska; sister, Karli Dunkelberger of Las Flores, California; two brothers, Kelly Dunkelberger and his wife, Lisa, and their children, Makaela and Wyatt, of Jeffers, Minnesota and Kip Dunkelberger and his wife, Amy, and their children, Courtney and Bryce, of Chaska, Minnesota; father and mother-in-law, Lyle and Joyce Osland of Windom; brother-in-law, Troy Osland and his son, Ivan, of Windom and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father and brother-in-law, Todd Osland.
