MLPS bands, ensembles special classes in performance May 16
Spring will “Pop” next Monday, May 16, as the Mountain Lake Public School’s (MLPS) Pops Concert – featuring bands, instrument ensembles and special guitar classes from grades 5-12 – appear onstage in the school’s auditorium, beginning at 7 p.m.
Aside from the large instrumental groups performing – 5th Grade Band, 6th Grade Band, Junior High Band and Senior High Band – the department’s Jazz Bands, Percussion Ensembles and Guitar Classes will present selections.
In addition, a combined 5th Grade-8th Grade Band – with five drum sets – as well as a joint 7th Grade-12th Grade Band will share in the concert.
All of the music will be “Disney”-themed.
