MLPS School Board keeps existing student fees as they are

At the group’s Monday, May 16 meeting, the members of the Mountain Lake Public School (MLPS) School Board voted to maintain existing student fees at the current level, with no increase to participation charges.

Hire Summer School teacher

Board members approved the hiring of Andrea Brinkman as a Summer School teacher.

In other business

+ Approved the final 2015-2016 revised calendar, with 172 student days.

+ Approved the resignation of Justin Thompson, Mountain Lake Public Elementary School fifth-grade teacher at the end of the 2015-2016 contract year.

+ Approved the Mountain Lake Projected Operating Budget for 2016-2017 Food Service.

+ Hired Jeff Wright as a summer custodian at a rate of $9.60 per hour.

+ Approved the consent agenda that included open enrollments and donations to the school district.

+ Noted that there will be a special MLPS School Board “In Service Work Session” on Monday, June 13, 2016, beginning at 5:30 p.m. in Room #1 of the high school.
