Nancy Jane (Regehr) Kroeker passed away on Monday, January 4, 2016, surrounded by her entire family, after a short battle with cancer.

She was born July 27, 1941, in Mountain Lake, the daughter of Harry and Helen Regehr. She accepted Christ as her Savior as a young girl and was baptized at the Gospel Mennonite Church in Mountain Lake as a teenager. She attended both Mountain Lake Christian and Public Schools and Grace Bible Institute in Omaha, Nebraska.

She married Virgel Dave Kroeker, from Inman, Kansas, on September 1, 1962, and they enjoyed over 53 years of love and adventure together. Nancy was devoted to her husband and family of six children and eight grandchildren. She loved to embroider, cross-stich and piece together quilts, especially for her children and grandchildren. She loved flowers, birds, butterflies and all things beautiful in God’s creation. Nancy made easy connections with all people: family, friends and strangers. She thoroughly enjoyed living, and making new friends in warm, sunny Texas where she was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She loved to travel and see new things and meet new people. Nancy loved all kinds of music, from bluegrass to symphony orchestra, and she loved to sing. Now she sings in a choir greater than can be imagined.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Virgel Kroeker, Mission; children, Roseann (Ron) Sachs, Dillsburg, Pennsylvania, Steve (Tracey) Kroeker, Woodbury, Minnesota, Keith (JoAnne) Kroeker, Madison Lake, Minnesota, Cheryl (Antony) Newman, Chatfield, Minnesota, Kristin Kroeker, New Brighton, Minnesota and Jason Kroeker, Minneapolis, Minnesota; grandchildren, Joshua Kroeker, Asha Kroeker, Janaya Sachs, Austin Sachs, Acacia Sachs, Logan Kroeker, Jenna Kroeker and Alexis Newman, sister: Sharon (Fred) Wall, Glenwood Spring, Colorado; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Regehr, Velma Goertzen, Del and Nancy Kroeker, Dean Kroeker and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Harry and Helen Regehr, and brother, Darryl Regehr.

If you would like to make a monetary donation in honor of Nancy, the family suggests a contribution to the Children’s Home of the Mountains, in Ramos Arizpe, Mexico.
