LES GUSTAFSON-ZOOK of Mennonite Central Committee to speak at First Mennonite Harvest Mission Festival at Sunday, November 1.

Les Gustafson-Zook of Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) will be speaker at First Mennonite Church in Mountain Lake on Sunday, November 1, at the church’s annual Harvest Mission Festival. With a case full of novel homemade instruments, Gustafson-Zook introduces the relief, development and peacemaking work of MCC using stories and songs.

Worship begins at 10 a.m., and the Harvest Festival Meal at noon will be potluck.

A longtime worker with the MCC, Gustafson-Zook is a musician and storyteller, currently working as the MCC North American Relief Sale Coordinator. He also serves as constituent relations coordinator for the MCC Great Lakes office, working out of Goshen, Indiana, and is the “My Coins Count” (formerly “Penny Power”) coordinator associated with Relief Sales around the nation.

The public is invited to join the First Mennonite congregation for a fun, entertaining and informative presentation at this Harvest Mission Festival.
