William ‘Bill’ Kremmin

William KremminFuneral services for 78-year-old William “Bill” Kremmin of Mountain Lake, Minnesota, will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday morning, January 15, 2015, at the American Lutheran Church in Windom, Minnesota. The church is located at 906 Prospect Avenue.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, January 14, 2015, at LaCanne Family Funeral Home of Windom, located at 2280 6th Avenue. A second visitation will be at the church the day of the funeral service from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

William “Bill” Kremmin passed away peacefully at his home in rural Mountain Lake on Saturday afternoon, January 10, 2015.

William “Bill” Arthur Kremmin was born on July 23, 1936, in Mountain Lake, Minnesota, the son of the late Ernest and Lillian Marie (Gohr) Kremmin. He was baptized and later confirmed at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Kimball Township, Jackson County, Minnesota. Bill received his early education in Country School District #68 in Kimball Township and finished his schooling in Mountain Lake Public High School. He served his country honorably in the United States Army.

Bill lived his entire life in Kimball Township and farmed for area farmers until 1963, when he purchased his own land. On April 12, 1997, Bill was united in marriage to Karen (Refsland) Cannon at the American Lutheran Church in Windom. This marriage was blessed with one son, William Kremmin, II.

Through the years, Bill enjoyed farming his whole life. He also loved attending the Louisville Farm Show in Louisville, Kentucky and any other farm shows in the are,a along with auctions and farm sales. But most of all, he enjoyed and loved his family, especially his son and grandchildren. Bill was a member of the American Lutheran Church in Windom.

Bill is survived by his wife, Karen Kremmin and William II of rural Mountain Lake; Lyschel Cannon (Martin) of Okabena, Minnesota and Wade Cannon of Windom; six grandchildren, Thalia, Diego, Rakkel, Pedro, Esteban and Mateo; one brother, Herman Kremmin of Jackson, Minnesota; mother-in-law, June Richardson of Windom; sisters-in-law, Diane (Dennis) Daniels of Hutchinson, Minnesota, Gayle (Clark) Kipfer of Lake Park, Iowa and Wanda (Bob) Lange of Glenwood  and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
