MLPS School District recognized for reducing achievement gap among students

School Board approves employee seniority lists

At their Monday, December 15 regular meeting, the Mountain Lake Public School (MLPS) School Board reviewed a letter of commendation from the Minnesota Department of Education’s Commissioner of Education, Dr. Brenda Cassellius, recognizing the school district for making progress toward reducing the achievement gap among students.

Each year, the Flexible Learning Year (FLY) Consortium creates an annual report that is sent to the Minnesota Department of Education. The report highlights student achievement progress among student populations in the district and among consortium schools.

The report also describes various professional development activities conducted by the consortium schools designed to improve classroom instruction.

Seniority lists approved

The school board approved the tentative seniority lists for non-certified staff and certified teachers as presented.
