alyssa wintersFuneral services for 35-year-old Alyssa Sue (Radtke) Winters of North Mankato, Minnesota, along with her unborn baby daughter, Sutton Valysa, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday morning, January 3, 2015, at Lakeview Gospel Church in Mountain Lake, Minnesota. The church is located at 1002 10th Street North.

Interment will be in Mountain Lake Cemetery, located at 10th Street North at Midway Road.

Pastor Merwin Dick will serve as officiant for the services.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, January 2, 2015, at Sturm Funeral Home-Mountain Lake, located at 420 10th Street North, as well as from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the church the day of the funeral service.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Sturm Funeral Home-Mountain Lake.

Alyssa Winters and baby girl Sutton died unexpectedly on Saturday, December 27, 2014, in Rochester, Minnesota.

Alyssa was born to De Lyle and Pamela (Firme) Radtke in Mountain Lake, on November 19, 1979. She grew up in Mountain Lake. After high school graduation, she attended Willmar Vocational/Technical College in Willmar, Minnesota (today Ridgewater College), earning a degree in photography. Most recently, Alyssa graduated from Rassmussen College in Mankato, Minnesota with a Certified Medical Assistant degree and was working for Mankato Clinic.

While attending Rassmussen College, she worked at the Good Samaritan Society of Mountain Lake-The Village in Mountain Lake. Alyssa was very involved with Save-A-Bull Pit Bull Rescue for the last five years. Her interest in helping Pit Bulls was evident in her own Pit Bull, Walley, who she flew to Tennessee to rescue five years ago. Alyssa’s family says, “Alyssa sprinkled her love and compassion everywhere with her smile and laughter.”

Alyssa is survived by her parents; brothers, Brandon Radke and partner (Tanya Gunderson) and Korey (Jaque) Radtke; future husband, Valentin Perez; nieces and nephews, Morgan, Chase, Nolan and Aayla Radtke; uncles and aunts and their families, LeRoy and Diane Radtke and family, Linda Coe, Judy and Jerry Friesen and family, Rick and Corrine Firme and family, Mike and Cindy Firme and family and many more relatives and friends.

She was proceeded in death by her grandparents, Edward and Gertie Radtke, Harvey and Mabel McKibbon and LaVerne and Peg Firme.
