Vendor Fair, Santa Claus become a part of Small Business Saturday
This Saturday, November 29 – known as Small Business Saturday – Mountain Lake will be the host city for two additional events for the day – a Vendor Fair Christmas Party, and the arrival of Santa Claus, who will flip the switch to light up Mountain Lake City Park, decorated in its holiday lights.
The basis of Small Business Saturday – held between Black Friday and Cyber Monday each November – is to encourage holiday shoppers to patronize the “brick-and-mortar” businesses that are small and local.
The Vendor Fair Christmas Party will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at The Teal House, located at 602 10th Street North, as a fundraiser for Christmas in the Park.
Vendors include Monica’s Jewelry, Thirty-One Gifts, Jamberry Nails, Pampered Chef, Usborne Books & More, Tastefully Simple, Teal House Treasures, Avon, Premier and Scentsy. Christmas shopping can be done – with free gift wrapping available.
In addition there will be a bake sale and silent auction. Goodies will be available and door prizes will be distributed.

The lighting of Christmas in the Park will be held from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., with FREE hot cocoa and goodies for those attending – wanting to be on hand as Santa Claus handles the honor of turning on the city park lights for the 2014 Christmas season.
