South Dakota woman injured in Highway #60 accident

Both Chevy Blazer, International semi and trailer were eastbound on the roadway

A two-vehicle accident at 8:42 a.m. this morning (Tuesday, July 29) just east of the New Vision Cooperative Elevator, located east of Mountain Lake on Minnesota State Highway #60, sent a 71-year-old Dell Rapids, South Dakota woman to the Windom Area Hospital via Mountain Lake ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries.

Mary L. Fox was a passenger in a 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer being driven by her husband, Jerald J. Fox, 69, also of Dell Rapids. Jerald Fox was not injured. The Chevy Trailblazer was eastbound on Highway #60 when it, and a 2002 International 9100 Series semi truck with trailer loaded with rock, driven by 62-year-old Larry W. Kronback of Lamberton, sideswipe collided. Kronback also was not injured.

The Trailblazer was totaled and the International received moderate damage.

Assisting the Minnesota State Highway Patrol were the Cottonwood County Sheriff’s Office and the Mountain Lake Police Department on the scene; and the Mountain Lake Fire Department and the Mountain Lake Ambulance Squad with patient care.
