Funeral services for 80-year-old Norma J. Dalton of Mountain Lake, Minnesota will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday morning, July 11, 2014 at the Good Samaritan Society-The Village in Mountain Lake. The Village is located at 745 Basinger Memorial Drive.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at The Village.
LaCanne Family Funeral Home of Windom, Minnesota is handling the funeral arrangements.
Norma Dalton passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at The Village.
Norma J. Dalton was born on April 26, 1934, in Peoria, Illinois, the daughter of the late Martin and Francis L. (Miller) Newell. She received her education in Peoria, graduating in the Class of 1952.
On September 21, 1956, Norma was united in marriage to C. “Jack” Dalton in Peoria. After marriage, Jack and Norma made Illinois their home. Their marriage was blessed with six children. In 1989, they moved to Mountain Lake and in 1998, Norma became a resident of the Good Samaritan Society-The Village in Mountain Lake.
Norma was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Mountain Lake and will be remembered for her love of cats.
Norma is survived by her four children, Lynda and Jerry Young of Washington, Illinois; Ron and Kristie Dalton of Mountain Lake; Michael Dalton of Fulda, Minnesota and Wendy and Frank Johnson of Avoca, Minnesota; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, C. Jack Dalton and two sons, Joel Dalton and Jack Dalton.
