MLC Speech Team at New Ulm in prep for today’s Sub-Section

 

Our MLC speech team competed at New Ulm on Saturday, March 22nd.  Twenty-one schools participated in this invitational with 300+ entries.   Four members of our team competed.  MLC placed 13th among the 21 schools.    Results:  Elijah Stoesz (Mt. Lake)        3rd                        Informative  Josh Raabe  (Mt. Lake)         1 out ribbon         Humor  James Hamm  (St. James)    2 out ribbon         Humor    Melissa Lohrenz also competed in Poetry.    MLC is coached by Kim Friesen of Windom.  The team will competed this Saturday, March 22, at New Ulm before heading into Sub-Section competition at Fairmont Public High School on Monday, March 24. All team members will participate in Sub-Section
THE MOUNTAIN LAKE Christian (MLC) Speech Team competed at an invitational at New Ulm Public High School this past Saturday, March 22. Twenty-one schools participated, with 300+ indivdiual entries. Four members of the team were among those competing. The MLC team placed 13th from among the 21 schools. Junior Elijah Stoesz of Mountain Lake finished third in Informative Speaking. Others earning awards include juniors Josh Raabe of Mountain Lake, earning a “1-Out” Ribbon in Humorous Interpretation (12th place) and James Hamm of St. James awarded at “2-Out” Ribbon in Humorous (14th place). Melissa Lohrenz also competed in Poetry, finishing in 13th place. Elijah Stoesz also competed in Original Oratory, finishing 13th. Team members were making final preparations for Sub-Section competition today (Monday, March 24) at Fairmont Public High School. All team members will be competing. The team is coached by Kim Friesen.
