Clippers over MLA 21-12
The host Cleveland Clippers remained undefeated at 7-0, downing the Mountain Lake Area (MLA) Wolverines Varsity Football team 21-12.
After the first half, Cleveland was up just a touchdown and extra point, 7-0. MLA jumped into the lead in the second half, 12-7, one of the scores coming on a MLA kick-off return to start the second half.
The Clippers took a 14-12 lead into the final quarter, and extended the margin to 21-12 with four minutes remaining in the game.
The Wolverines are now 4-3. MLA will host Heron Lake/Okabena for the final regular season game on Wednesday, October 19; kick-off at 7 p.m. Cleveland will face Ellsworth/Edgerton that day for a battle of the South West District nine-man unbeatens.
