Mountain Lake Area Wolverine boys, girls basketball teams raise $2,125 from variety of activities spanning two game nights
The fund-raising total for the Mountain Lake Area Wolverine Coaches vs. Cancer events held during recent boys and girls basketball game nights on Thursday, January 15 and Friday, January 16, was just released by the co-chairs of the activities, Shawn Naas, head boys basketball coach and Wayne Klassen, head girls basketball coach.
The cancer-fighting fund-raising program is sponsored by the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches.
According to the pair, total money raised was $2,125, which will be presented to the American Cancer Society and Cottonwood County Relay For Life, via contact person, Greg Rossow.
Naas and Klassen extend thanks for the success of the annual fund-raiser in the fight against cancer to the Mountain Lake Public School staff, Mountain Lake Christian, Mountain Lake and Windom businesses, Mountain Lake Area boys and girls basketball programs, Mountain Lake Area boys and girls coaches and the Mountain Lake Area Wolverine Boosters.
