MLPL’s Summer Reading Program closes with last Make/Take Craft projects; CLIMB Theatre presentation of ‘The Tortoise and the Hare’
The summer reading program – Read for the Win! – at Mountain Lake Public Library (MLPL) closed with featured finale fanfare today (Tuesday, July 19).
Tie-dye shirts and painted suncatchers were highlighted as the season’s last Make & Take Craft projects, and Climb Theatre presented the production, The Tortoise and the Hare for the closing program, a mini-play that supports literacy and reading readiness. In between, snacks were enjoyed, games were played and prizes were awarded.
The summer reading program activities were funded by Mountain Lake Public Library and Friends of the Mountain Lake Public Library.
Climb Theatre appeared through funding courtesy of money dedicated to Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
