Nicollet defeats MLA 3-0 in Section 2A

Move on to play Saturday at Caswell in double-elimination tourney

The #4-seeded Mountain Lake Area (MLA) Wolverine Girls Softball team dropped their Section 2A second-round game 3-0 to Nicollet, the #5-seed, but will advance to play this Saturday, May 28, at Caswell Park in North Mankato in the double-elimination tourney.

It was 0-0 going into the seventh when Nicollet scored three runs, none of which were earned.

Signey Stoesz pitched the entire seven innings, allowing three hits, one walk and 10 strikeouts.
