Confirmation ceremony follows two years of intense faith study
THIS MORNING (SUNDAY, May 8), 10 eighth-graders were confirmed in a ceremony held at Trinity Lutheran Church of Mountain Lake. The goal of the two years of intense instruction is to provide a significant base for a growing faith. As important as confirmation is, the ritual of confirmation is not as important as the development of faith. Confirmation’s goal is to encourage, by God’s Word and Holy Spirit, a growing, dynamic, life-long expression of faith which endures until the “crown of life” is received. Leading the instruction were Pastor Peter Kufahl and Pastor Ben Perkins. Assisting with memorization were Deb Kremmin and Evie Oeltjenbruns.
