MLHS students check out career choices
Mountain Lake Public High School (MLHS) seniors have been job shadowing this fall as part of the courses of English teachers Brenda Feil (Senior Writing) and Kim Syverson (College Writing).
The crux of the project is completing on-the-job learning and career development – and then putting down what was learned on paper. Students pick one day (Monday-Thursday), and must shadow for at least six hours.
A number of students went on-the-road to job shadow in places outside the area, while others checked out careers closer to home.
These “Shadows” now know what it takes to be a professional in the career they observed for a day.
Following are a couple of seniors and their “selfies” while shadowing:

ANOTHER JOB SHADOW adventure for Rebekah Klassen was at a school for children of Somalian families.
