The Mountain Lake Area (MLA) Lady Wolverines traveled to Okabena on Tuesday, September 29 to face Red Rock Conference foe Heron Lake/Okabena. Although they did lose the match in four games, the squad rebounded with improved play to take the third game and force extra-point play in the fourth and deciding game.

MLA dropped the first two games by identical 15-25 scores, then rallied to claim the next game 25-16. In the fourth, and ultimately deciding game, the Lady Wolverines pushed their hosts, but eventually lost, 24-26.

Next up, the team comes home during Homecoming Week to play Edgerton Public on Thursday, October 1. On Saturday, October 3, they will be competing in the St. Clair Tournament.
