Girls team is 12th; boys are eighth
Mountain Lake Area (MLA) Cross Country runners did the (Worthington) Turkey Trot on Thursday, September 17.
Taking the girls team title was Fairmont with 39 points; the Wolverines finished in 12th with 299 points.
The host Trojans claimed the boys team title with 77 points; MLA was eighth with 217 points.
The MLA girls were led into the chute by Liana Blomgren, who finished in 46th with a time of 25:09. Arlington Schlabach was 53rd (25:55), followed by Ashley Watkins, 69th (26:37), Rebekah Klassen in 81st (27:36) and Karen Soutthivong, 94th (29:09).
Tommy Kraemer paced Wolverine boy runners, cracking the top 25, placing 25th with a time of 19:21. The remaining counting scorers, their placings and times featured four runners in a group – Ryan McCue in 53rd at 20:19, Ryan Blomgren following in 54th (20:19), Aaron Fast was 57th (20:29) and Andrew Fast, 58th (20:35).
The teams will run next this Monday, September 21 at the Windom Invite.
